Kharie, an artist with unlimited potential looking to break through to a wider audience. Kharie is a genre bending artist with an ability to blend Hip-hop, rock, R&B, pop, soul and other genres into a truly unique sound. Kharie’s ever-changing flows and Melody’s give you with a familiar feeling with an unfamiliar sound. From one song to the next he will quickly show you his ability to switch in and out of layered personas that drive much of his creativity.

Making it in today’s market with real substance based on quality seems harder than ever, especially coming from New England. However, Kharie has a chance of being one of those artist who’s able to captivate a global audience from a state who’s long overdue for a true music movement . Gaining inspiration from artists like Russ and Chance the Rapper, Kharie looks to gain a strong core audience of people who connect to him through his music.

Now if we can, I'd like to go way back back for a little while. Where did you go grow up? What was it like to grow up in...?

I grew up in Massachusetts. Literally lived all around Massachusetts growing up and moved a lot. I went to like 5 elementary schools. My family grew up living in poverty, but we managed to go day by day and end up alright. It was always just me my mom and my sister. My mom did everything by herself and provided for two kids, but we were never middle class or anything.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into your story - was music always your first passion and what do you like to do outside of music?

Ever since I was little I loved music. When I was little i would always put superstar or rapper on the paper when it said what do you want to be when you get older?. Music is basically the only thing I’m good at without trying. It wasn’t until I was about 18-19 that I could actually afford to get in the studio and really start to get good at making music. Besides music I’m a father and really an all around business man. Anything that can make me some extra money I will be good at.

What is your creative process like when making music?

When I’m making music I just like to listen to the beat and record whatever comes to my head from mumbles to actual words. I record as many takes I need until I feel the full sound of the song I’m making is fully there and once I have that I start the edit process. After that I send it to an engineer. I don’t typically write my songs they are all usually freestyles into every take I record. I really only write the lyrics down so I don’t forget the words.

Do you have any new music out now or on the way?

I have a whole catalog of different styles of music on all major platforms under my name Kharie. I’ve got about 30 songs and 3 videos in the vault to be released right now so as of now I have been just working on new music. I’m always recording a new song at least once a week.

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

I make music for every feeling but typically for people like myself and others who I may interact with and their lives. Whatever the feeling is that I feel I try and find a beat to go with that feeling and just record what comes out first. It’s never planned. I love to make music freely at all times.

If you could open a show for an artist who would it be?

If I could open up for any artist it would probably be Russ. I couldn’t really say anyone else off the top of my head, but I really like Russ music all around so most Likely him.

Did you ever consider giving up? Where did you get the motivation to continue through your challenges? What sustains your drive?

Growing up how I did and just feeling like I was always getting the bad luck, I almost quit so many times. What always keeps me in the game is knowing how much effort I’ve put into my music. Nothing great happens overnight for people like me. Everyone always expects instant gratification, but in the real world that just not how it is. It’s about the long game, it would be such a waste to give up on a dream you truly believe in. I started really looking myself in the mirror and keep telling myself you got this. Sometimes that’s all you need in life. I believe in myself and if I quit I would have nothing to do in life that I loved. I guess sometimes it comes down to that gut feeling that you get when you know you can do something and know you’re good enough get you to the next step every time.

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be and why?

I wouldn’t change anything because everything happens in life for a reason. And I never worry about what doesn’t have anything to do with me.

What's next for you, and how can our readers further follow your work?

I have several songs and videos dropping in The next few months. All of my music can be found on any streaming platform where you listen to your Daily music on. I am also on Instagram and you can find me under -KharieOfficial
