Terry Borderline is a performer, songwriter, producer, recording engineer, event planner, editor, and recording artist ushering knowledge into the world through music, events, services and audio/visual creative content.Born in Boston, Raised in Somerville and now residing in Brockton he has connected with many ciphers in the Massachusetts music sphere. Determined to grow he developed his own brand and career as a professional artist and established his debut Album in 2020 'Ways of The World'. Along the way many spiritual journeys with plant medicine such as Psilocybin mushrooms and Ayahuasca helped shape the album and inform his mission to heal the world. Featuring critically acclaimed artists such as Cliff Notez, Estee Nack, Mickey Factz, One Be Lo, Forte, and Reggie Hue; Ways of The World succeeded in closing the gap between hip hop legends and the local scene on a spiritual level. With 12 years of divine union, and 1 year of marriage Terry Borderline and Sassy D'estany set the standard for what it means to be two artists in love who share the stage. Tell us about your new single Penmanship. what is the song about, The inspiration behind and our there any features?

The song Penmanship is about the power of the MC, the power of the people, the power of writing, the power of sovereignty and the tragedy of paper genocide. Indigenous people have endured a history of oppression and genocide at the hand of historians, census takers, politicians and lawmakers in an effort to remove us from our own land. Due to their failure to erase us physically, they had to erase us literally through writing. Discovering our power to manifest any thing through our writing as MC's, inspired me to make an anthem and a battle cry to remind us all that we have the upper hand through our words. The single is produced by clrwtr, a young producer and artistic prodigy with a bright vision for the world. Clrwtr also delivers an engaging verse complimenting our message of collaboration and unity despite a difference in cultural backgrounds.

Can you tell us about your album? what will it be called, When is it dropping and who will be featured on the project?

The Album will be called The Heirophant. Based off the high priest card in Tarot, The Heirophant stands for tradition and convention. It can represent marriage in an arranged setup. It can also mean a teacher or counsellor who will help in learning / education. It is a collaborative album between me and clrwtr, who built a student/teacher kinship based off of spiritual ascension, development and enlightenment. It is due to drop spring 2022, with songs and visuals dropping along the way! We have great artists featuring on this powerful project including Termanology, Reks, Forte, Sassy D'estany, Reggie Hue and Najee Janey.

I know that you have two upcoming shows Terry Borderline & the suns can you tell us how and where we can buy tickets and can you tell us your favorite song of yours that you like to perform as well as your most memorable performance and why?

Yes! We have a show November 28th at the Jungle in Somerville with Safiya Leslie and her World Travel Music Playlist brand. This months show is dedicated to our homeland of Ayiti (Haiti) and we will deliver a powerful hour long set as a tribute to the ancestors! December 4th we will also be performing at an Open Mic in Dorchester 1-3pm for an inspiring set curated for our beloved community!

My most memorable performance this year specifically would have to be the Starlight Show we headlined for Bridgecyph and The Hip Hop Collective! It was a performance of legendary status! It was forecasted to be pleasant weather, with no chance of rain. When we got on stage, we sang a Sufi chant created by the philosopher Rumi "La allah ha il allah" (There is none but Allah) and as we all chanted it began to rain, and the music kept going! The energy was raised to so high, before it ended, everyone joined in a mosh-pit dancing in the rain, letting it all loose! When our performance ended, believe it or not the rain STOPPED! My son was with us and it filled my heart with joy to see my son witness this divine moment at such a young age!
